Veteran Christy LaVallee’s journey began in Frederick, Maryland, where the call to serve was a powerful and guiding force in her life. With a strong desire to serve her country and inspired by family and experiences, Christy made the pivotal decision to enlist in the Army. Christy achieved the rank of Specialist (SPC) in the Army Reserves, serving a notable deployment to Kandahar, Afghanistan, from 2010 to 2011. Her role as a combat support military police officer exposed her to life-changing experiences, including a harrowing IED blast that left a lasting impact on her and her team. These experiences, while traumatic, also forged a profound sense of resilience and dedication.
