Verizon’s $1000 Samsung E-Cert (“Sweepstakes”) begins on 06/24/26 at 6:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) and ends on 07/25/26 at 11:59 p.m. PT (the “Sweepstakes Period”). By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Verizon Corporate Services Group Inc. (“Sponsor”), which are binding and final in all respects. Questions may be submitted to BrandStar (“Administrator”) by email during the Sweepstakes Period.
1. Eligibility.
The Sweepstakes is open to individuals who: (i) are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in their state of residence at the time of entry in the Sweepstakes; (ii) are legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia; and (iii) are NOT in one or more of the “Prohibited Persons” categories listed below. Any entry submitted by any ineligible person(s) will be void.
Prohibited Persons. The following individuals are not eligible to enter or win the Sweepstakes: (i) current and former employees (including, but not limited to, consultants, independent contractors, temporary employees, and interns) of Sponsor, and BrandStar (“Administrator”), and of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, authorized agents, retailers, sales representatives, distributors, suppliers, advertising agencies, promotion agencies (hereafter collectively, “Sweepstakes Entities”) and immediate family members of each such individual; and (ii) all individuals who have, within the past six months, performed services for Sweepstakes Entities. “Immediate family” members include spouses, grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren, whether by marriage, past marriages, remarriage, adoption, cohabitation or other family extension.
2. Prize(s).
Total Number of Winners: Two (2)
Two (2) winners will each receive a $1,000.00 Samsung E-certificate. Must be redeemed at www.samsung.com, not transferable. E-certificate expires on 12/31/2026. The winner will be provided with a single-use code, which must be redeemed entirely in one transaction. The single-use code cannot be split over multiple transactions. The single-use code has no cash value.
All expenses and costs not expressly listed above, including, but not limited to, federal, state or local taxes on the value of the prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prize is not transferable, assignable, or redeemable for cash except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Prize details and availability are subject to change, in which case Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Any portion of prize not used by the winner is forfeited and no cash substitute will be offered or permitted. Prize offered is provided “as is” with no warranty or guarantee either expressed or implied by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for loss, delay, or damage in delivery of Prize. Only one prize per person during the Sweepstakes Period will be awarded. Sponsor makes no representation or warranty concerning the appearance, safety, or performance of any prize awarded. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize items.
Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $2,000.00 USD total ($1,000.00 per winner). The total ARV of all prizes awarded will not exceed $2,000.00 USD. If the actual value of the prize is less than the stated ARV, the difference will not be awarded in cash or otherwise.
Total Prize Value: The total value of all prizes awarded in this Sweepstakes shall not exceed $5,000.00 USD.
3. How to Enter.
During the Sweepstakes Period, participants must tag 1 friend, like the sweepstakes post, and follow Military Makeover, Verizon, and Samsung for one entry into the sweepstakes on Instagram. The Official Rules and Privacy Policy will be listed on the Military Makeover website. Entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. PT on July 25, 2026. Data usage rates may apply to access the applicable Sweepstakes websites or social media sites.
One entry per Instagram account, provided the entry complies with the requirements.
Automated or robotic entries submitted by individuals or organizations will be disqualified. Internet entry must be made by the entrant. Any attempt by an entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, and/or logins, or any other methods will void that entrant’s entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Final eligibility for the award of any prize is subject to eligibility verification as set forth below. All entries must be received by the end of the Sweepstakes Period in order to participate. Sponsor’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Sweepstakes.
If there is a dispute as to who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the Instagram account submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person assigned to an Instagram account by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for Instagram accounts. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, stolen, or damaged entries or for technical, hardware, software or device malfunctions of any kind, or any other cause not reasonably within Sweepstakes Entities’ control.
4. Winner Selection.
On or about 07/29/26, two (2) potential winners will be selected via random drawing by the Administrator in its sole discretion, from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The random drawing will be conducted about one business day after the Sweepstakes Period by the Administrator or its designated representatives, whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the drawing. Odds of winning will vary depending on the number of eligible entries received.
Termination. If Sponsor cancels, terminates, modifies, or suspends this Sweepstakes for any reason, Sponsor will select potential prize winners by random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received during the Sweepstakes Period prior to termination, or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor in its sole discretion. If Sponsor does so, Sponsor will post notice of its action at https://militarymakeover.tv/
5. Winner Notification.
Sponsor will attempt to notify potential winners via Instagram using information provided on the Instagram Direct Message (DM) or via a public comment reply to the handles used during entry. Potential winners will be notified within five (5) business days after the Sweepstakes Period ends. Potential winners must claim the prize by responding as directed by Sponsor within 48 hours of notification. Sponsor is not responsible for any delay or failure to receive notification for any reason, including inactive account(s), technical difficulties associated therewith, or winner’s failure to adequately monitor any account.
Potential winners will be required to follow prize claim instructions provided and return all necessary prize claim documents within five (5) business days from the date of notification. Potential winners must complete and sign a Prize Acceptance & Liability Waiver and a Publicity Release before the Prize will be awarded (Tennessee residents need not sign the Publicity Release). The Prize will be forfeited in the event that: (i) the potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules; (ii) the prize notification is returned as undeliverable; (iii) Sponsor does not receive timely response; or (iv) a potential winner declines the Prize. If time permits, Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner by applying the criteria set forth above.
Any winner of a prize valued at $2,000.00 and over will be issued an IRS 1099 Tax Form reflecting the fair market value of the prize; and, winner agrees to fully cooperate with Sponsor relative to its reporting of prize award to the Internal Revenue Service, including provision of his/her Social Security Number in conjunction therewith.
6. Privacy.
Any personal information supplied by you will be subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy posted at https://www.verizon.com/about/privacy/full-privacy-policy and terms of use posted at https://www.verizon.com/about/terms-conditions/terms-of-use. By entering the Sweepstakes, you grant Sponsor permission to share your personally identifiable information with the other Sweepstakes Entities for the purpose of administration and prize fulfillment, including use in a publicly available Winner’s list.
Furthermore, you grant Verizon Corporate Services Group Inc., its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, and promotional partners the right to use and share your personally identifiable information for the purpose of marketing and promoting the Sweepstakes, in accordance with applicable laws and Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.
By accepting the prize, the winner grants to the Sweepstakes Entities the right to use winner’s name, likeness, image, voice, hometown and biographical information for commercial purposes in advertising, trade and promotional content, without further notice, compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law. Government employees who win a prize may be subject to ethics and gift rules of their jurisdiction.
7. General Conditions.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual from further participation in the Sweepstakes if Sponsor concludes, in its sole discretion, that such person: (i) has attempted to tamper with the entry process or other operation of the Sweepstakes; (ii) has disregarded or has attempted to circumvent these Official Rules; (iii) has committed fraud or attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes; or (iv) has acted toward any Sweepstakes Entity or any other entrant in an unfair, inequitable, annoying, threatening, disrupting or harassing manner.
8. Limitation of Liability.
By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to release, waive and hold harmless Sweepstakes Entities, and each of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations, retailers, sales representatives, distributors, and advertising and promotional agencies, and all of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents, from all injuries, claims, damages, losses, costs or expenses of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law (including, without limitation, attorneys’ fees) resulting from the entrants’ participation in this Sweepstakes, the entrants’ acceptance, use or misuse of any prize or element thereof, and any travel or event-related activity in connection with the Sweepstakes.
Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for (a) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, or for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions; (b) any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries at any point in the operation of this Sweepstakes; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure; (d) inaccessibility or unavailability of any network or wireless service, the Internet or website; (e) suspended or discontinued Internet, wireless or landline phone service; or (f) any injury or damage to participants or to any other person’s computer or mobile device which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the Sweepstakes or download of any materials in the Sweepstakes.
If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes in whole or in part. In such an event, Sponsor shall immediately suspend all drawings and prize awards, and Sponsor reserves the right to award any remaining prizes in a manner deemed fair and equitable by Sponsor. Sweepstakes Entities shall not have any further liability to any participant in connection with the Sweepstakes.
Neither the failure of Sponsor to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these Official Rules nor the failure, delay or omission by Sponsor in exercising any right will be construed as a waiver of Sponsor’s right to assert or rely upon any such provision or right. If there is a conflict between any term of these Official Rules and any entry or marketing materials, the terms of these Official Rules will govern.
9. Governing Law.
ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRANTS OR SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES WILL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTERNAL LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY, USA WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO ANY CHOICE OF LAW OR CONFLICT OF LAW RULES OR PROVISIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE APPLICATION OF ANY OTHER STATE’S LAWS.
10. Dispute Resolution.
By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants agree that: (i) all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or prizes awarded, will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court in New Jersey, to which the participant submits to personal jurisdiction; (ii) all claims, judgments, and awards will be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (iii) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow for limitations on the ability to pursue class action remedies, or certain kinds of damages, and so these limitations may not apply to you.
11. Winner List / Official Rules.
To obtain a copy of the Winner List or a copy of these Official Rules, send your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Verizon, Attn: Kyla Dickson, 5055 North Point Parkway, Alpharetta, Georgia 30022. Requests must be received no later than 30 days after the Sweepstakes ends.
