Stay tuned as we explore the University of Arizona’s VETS program, which supports vets and reservists during their studies at the university.
First, we meet veterans Duan Copeland and Jesse Williamson, who are both enrolled at the University of Arizona. Then, we talk to them about their service and the challenges of transition. Next, hear what they have to say about their experiences at the University of Arizona
The University of Arizona’s Veterans Education and Transition Services (VETS) strives to provide the tools and assistance necessary for students to achieve academic success while fostering camaraderie and engagement.
In addition, VETS is an organization run by veterans, spouses, dependents, and current service members. Through their shared experiences, they maintain a dynamic and effective program which is responsive to the needs of the community.
VETS recognizes shifting from the military to the academic environment is not always a straightforward process. That’s why they’re committed to providing a safe and supportive environment. They make the transition from military to student to employed graduate as smooth as possible.
