The Weatherholt Family

William “Billy” Weatherholt joined the U.S. Air Force at just 17, shortly after Sept. 11, 2001. Inspired by his family’s history of service, he became a military firefighter and EMT. He reached the rank of Senior Airman and served two overseas deployments. In 2006, Billy deployed to Kyrgyzstan. He also volunteered for Honor Guard, helping honor fallen service members. In 2009, he deployed to Qatar in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His role was to help protect thousands of troops and the base they relied on. Billy earned several awards for his service, including the Air Force Achievement Medal. Today, he lives with PTSD, insomnia, hearing loss, anxiety, and other health challenges tied to his service. He remains proud of his time in the Air Force. Billy still serves others as a firefighter and paramedic in South Florida. He has more than 18 years of military and civilian emergency response experience. He has twice been named Firefighter of the Year. He also created a lifesaving medical response bag that his department still uses today. Billy and his wife, Autumn, met as teenagers and have been together for more than 18 years. They married on Veterans Day. Together, they have faced deployments, moves, financial stress, and fertility struggles. Through it all, they have supported each other. Autumn is a former elementary school teacher who now works in adult education in Palm Beach County. She also enjoys coaching youth volleyball and taking on DIY projects. The couple lives in Jupiter, Florida, with their 14-year-old daughter, Tatumn. They love beach days, boating, cooking, and movie nights together. They have worked hard to improve their home with their own hands and savings. Now, the Military Makeover with Montel® team is stepping in to give the Weatherholts a home makeover and celebrate their family’s strength and service.
