At the time, the team was led by quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. In this rematch, the Chiefs will have to beat a super-talented 49ers roster led by sophomore quarterback Brock Purdy.
Purdy and the 49ers are heading into the Super Bowl after a wild comeback victory against the Detroit Lions in the NFC championship game. The Kansas City Chiefs have been dazzling this playoff as well, knocking off top teams like the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens.
