During Military Makeover’s recent renovation in Kansas City for wounded veteran Casey Harrison, our construction manager Ryan Stanley received an unsettling call from his twin sister.
What she told him would change his life forever: Ryan’s father had fallen ill with pancreatitis but was expected to pull through. Then, after an emotional four-week battle, Mr. Stanley passed away. Matt Moyers, the latest Military Makeover recipient, is a friend of Casey Harrison’s and got to know Ryan during the Harrison renovation.
With Ryan’s dedication to renovating both the Harrison and Moyers homes, Matt felt inspired to honor Ryan and his late father with a unique, made-by-hand piece of wood burning artwork. Stay tuned as Matt and Ryan share a touching moment.
